A Midwife's View
Just over a week ago I had the amazing privilege of being witness to a beautiful baby girl joining us earthside to the most wonderful loving family. Before I became a Mother, birth amazed me in so many ways, but now being a Mother the feelings are on a whole new level and totally amazing! Watching a woman grow and transform into a Mother, watching a Dad who's eyes glisten as he watches the women he loves birth their baby and me as Midwife, being taken back to the day I myself was being transformed into a Mother. Insert here an overflow and raging river of oxytocin love! When I left the hospital after witnessing this birth I was on cloud nine! I wanted to remember this moment and I wanted to share with this family how as Midwives we are so lucky and honored to be apart of this intimate and special journey. Here is my story!
